Vanke Xi An Club, a community center designed by GAD Architecture in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, integrates functional spaces such as a swimming pool, yoga room, gym, library, art gallery, and coffee shop. Completed in 2021, the design emphasizes blending with the natural surroundings of Fuxian Lake, enhancing both the ecological and visual landscape.
Vanke Xi An Club, located on the shore of Fuxian Lake in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, offers a wide view and superior landscape resources. With a construction area of 4,740 square meters, the project includes a swimming pool, yoga room, gym center, library, art gallery, and coffee shop.
The design leverages the natural landscape and topographic features with large height differences, extending downward to minimize ecological impact. The waves of the lake are mirrored in the roof design, which softly covers the hillside, blending seamlessly with the distant Fuxian Lake.
A modular approach to spatial structure effectively conceals equipment while delineating boundaries and guiding flow. Varied shapes of spaces integrate functions like spa, fitness, entertainment, reading, and art exhibition, achieving a pure and complete spatial experience.
The boundary between inside and outside is blurred through a fully open glass curtain wall, allowing warm breezes and bright sunlight from the lake view to enter. Interior spaces feature multiple sunlight patios, creating an open and bright atmosphere. Light and air from the outside flow freely within the building, providing the comfort and peace of a natural cave.
