The Ulugöl Otomotiv Office Building, designed by Tago Architects, features a dynamic block construct and a distinctive frontal identity, integrating sustainable and functional design principles. With 14,600 square meters of space, the structure includes green terraces, flexible blocks, and collective spaces to enhance social interactions and workplace transparency. Red composite panels and stone design ceramics enrich the facade, while mesh sunshade panels minimize solar impact. The ground floor includes an exhibition hall, office entrances, and a parking lot connected by car elevators.
The Ulugöl Otomotiv Office Building, designed by Tago Architects, is located in Ataşehir, a prominent life and finance hub on Istanbul’s Anatolian side. The project combines a functional, original architectural design with a dynamic block construct and a memorable frontal identity, standing out in an area known for its iconic real estate developments.
The project’s main design decisions aimed to create a sustainable, rational, and orderly structure, redefining the standard office typology by analyzing the city’s physical environment. The design sought to ensure facade versatility through flexible blocks, balancing looseness and compactness while maintaining a static construct. This approach fostered synergy between green terraces, office functions, and employee social interactions in collective spaces. Recognizing green spaces as integral to daily life, they were incorporated into the workplace, enhancing transparency in the work environment.
To diversify the facade materials, red composite panels are used on the interior faces of the terraces, while stone design ceramics adorn the windowless walls. The office facade features mesh sunshade panels and vertical elements to minimize the negative effects of the sun. The 14,600 square meter building comprises five basement floors, a ground floor, and ten upper floors. The ground floor of the western facade is designated as an exhibition hall, while the eastern facade includes office entrances and a parking lot, accessible via car elevators.
