Silom Residence is a seven-story residential and commercial building located in Bangkok’s midtown area, Sathorn. Given the high value of the land, every square meter is meticulously designed to ensure useful and meaningful functions. The owner’s vision is to create a home that serves as “the heart of the family place,” where all family members can eventually live together. Thus, individual user requirements are prioritized to create a space where everyone feels at home.

The owner is concerned not only with the family’s happiness but also with a long-term business plan. Consequently, the building incorporates commercial spaces from the basement to the second floor. Retail areas are integrated into the building design, while public and private circulations are separated to maintain privacy and safety for the residence.

The façade features a distinctive character with an innovative close-and-open system. Zigzag windows provide a dynamic appearance and special shading. An automatic close-and-open system, operated by motors, offers users a new level of convenience.

Inside, the family room with double-height space and a private garden at the end of the walkway creates a homely atmosphere. The vertical pattern wall extends the design language from the façade into the interior. Natural light penetrates through the façade, enhancing the interior spaces and delighting the users.
