MODULE+, a small community structure designed by Nguyen Khac Phuoc Architects and Dang+Partners in Thanh Chương District, Nghệ An, Vietnam, was completed in 2018. This 6 m² project serves as a flexible resting place that enhances the connection between people, architecture, and nature. Its modular design, assembled by local residents in just three days, seamlessly integrates into the natural landscape without disrupting the surrounding environment.
Thanh Chương green tea oasis is notable for its natural beauty and its role serves as a gathering spot for local famers. This location plays a significant role in daily lives community, blending manufacturing with a poetic landscape that harmonizes with nature.
The MODULE+ space serves as a resting point for farmers and manufacturers or as landmark for tourists seeking to experience the area’s tranquility. The structure’s connected modules stand out as an innovative element within this scenic environment. Designed for versatility, the modules are free-standing, easily assembled, and moved by local labor, which makes the construction process efficient and adaptable to various conditions requiring flexibility.
The MODULE+ project was constructed by local people within three days, using over 2,000 plastic wood structures transported by boat. The assembled modules create a space that respects the natural landscape, acting as a small community house and a place for visitors to enjoy the tea hills without disturbing the surroundings. This design fosters a connection between people, architecture, and nature.
