Microcity “V Lesu”, residential project designed by SPEECH Tchoban & Kuznetsov, in collaboration with TPO “Reserve” from Russia and Ashman Salomon and Langhof from Germany, has transformed the North Western Moscow area with its colorful and diverse architectural styles. Located in Krasnogorsk, near the Pyatnitskoye Shosse Metro station and 22 km from the Kremlin, this project offers high-quality living spaces and amenities for its residents.
Architects from Russia and Germany collaborated to create the microcity “V Lesu” residence in Moscow. Speech Tchoban & Kuznetsov, along with TPO “Reserve” and German partners Ashman Salomon and Langhof, developed a diverse residential ensemble in the prestigious North Western Moscow district.
This collaboration resulted in significant architectural variety while maintaining a cohesive stylistic and ideological approach to human habitat design, a relatively new concept for Russia. The uniform master plan and different creative approaches produced an efficient and varied architectural environment.
The complex is located in Krasnogorsk, near the Pyatnitskoye Shoosse metro station, 22 km from the Kremlin. It includes various architectural styles, such as Dutch, german, French, Italian, Spanish, and English. Spanning 100 hectares, the development offers 150,000 m² of living space, comprising 10,000 apartments for 35,000 residents.
The Microcity features a 7 km bicycle path, a park, a theater, a shopping and leisure center, a church, a supermarket, two schools, three kindergartens, and 10,000 parking spots, ensuring high comfort and quality of life.
Underground parking under each residential quarter prevents car overcrowding, with flats roofs turned into green yards.
The architects aimed to use soft and colorful variations in the residential quarter layout to give each building an individual design. Each building’s facade has a unique design with elements like bay windows, consoles, and balconies.
The ensemble resembles traditional villages, creating a distinct atmosphere and personality.
