La Fantaisie Hotel designed by PETITDIDIERPRIOUX Architects in Paris, France, transformed an existing hotel into a tranquil urban retreat. Featuring an enlarged garden and enhanced accessibility, the hotel includes a unique glass-roofed restaurant experience. The facade, crafted from pre-patinated gray-green zinc, integrates with the Parisian landscape. Completed in 2023, the hotel offers an immersive journey beyond traditional guestrooms.
Derived from reconfiguring an existing hotel, La Fantaisie has undergone extensive renovation while preserving its original structure.
Conceived as a tranquil retreat in the city center, the hotel now features an enlarged garden and improved accessibility.
One key objective was to extend life beyond the guestrooms, creating an experiential journey for guests. A large glass roof spans the width of the plot on the garden side, providing an immersive experience from the restaurant “Golden Poppy” by Dominique Crenn, set in a bucolic landscape.
The redesigned urban silhouette is expressed through a signature facade, serving as a luminous filter between the rooms and the street. The facade materiality, made from pre-patinated gray-green zinc, honors the Parisian landscape.
