MIDE Architects designed a single-floor house focused on connecting with the surrounding park. The south-facing living room is a glass box reflecting the park, while the sleeping area features concrete walls with geometric openings. A large flat roof unifies the space, with light wells in the porch for trees. The material palette includes glass, wood, and reddish concrete, with Venetian terrazzo flooring.
MIDE Architects designed a single-floor house with simple lines to meet the clients’ desire for a new home that maximizes the enjoyment of the surrounding park. The spacious living room, oriented south, acts as a glass box reflecting the park and is shielded by a large porch.
The sleeping area is designed to be more introspective, featuring concrete external walls with geometric openings facing the garden. A large flat roof unifies all the rooms, offering protection from the sun and weather.
The porch includes light wells that accommodate trees, enhancing the connection between the building and the park.
The material palette is intentionally limited to glass, wood, and a reddish hue of concrete, all complemented by Venetian terrazzo flooring.
