The building accommodates a shop, office, and coworking space, creating an iconic presence in a densely populated area. The interior includes an ironwood-floored retail room, a central area with a pantry and living room, and a courtyard for private discussions. A spiral staircase with a skylight and a smart sliding canopy in the courtyard enhance functionality and comfort. The design encourages creativity, collaboration, and business growth.

The FVS Home Office stands out with its concrete facade, interspersed with lines and gaps in the fence and walls. These gaps serve as analogies for pause, breathing, and release, allowing sunlight and air to circulate while also reducing surrounding noise.

The client’s vision was to create a space that accommodates a shop, office, and coworking space, embodying a calm yet uplifting character in a densely populated area with limited road access. The building aims to be an iconic representation of a company that stands out among the crowd. The exposed concrete facade provides a raw, honest aesthetic and functions as a heat and noise reducer with minimal maintenance.

From the front, the retail room on the ground floor features an ironwood floor. The room’s axis is aligned with the main door opening at the corner of the land, creating a unique and attractive entry. The circulation flow leads to the central area, which includes the pantry, living room, and inner courtyard. The living room, layered with solid wooden lines, features a spiral staircase as its focal point. A skylight and roof window above the staircase allow abundant sunlight to enter from morning to evening, ensuring the enclosed room remains comfortable.

The areas for customer and community interaction are oriented toward the back of the property, where the courtyard serves as a private open discussion space. Bricks laid in a unique pattern create a dynamic and creative atmosphere. Benches made of 1-2 meter andesite stones are placed throughout the garden to support this concept. To manage high rainfall, the semi-open space features a smart sliding canopy that can be remotely activated. The overall architectural design aims to foster creativity, collaboration, and business development among occupants.
