Craft Estate designed by ASWA in Nonthaburi, Thailand, is a triangular structure with a river view. Completed in 2023, the 1,400 m² building is divided into a four-story restaurant and a three-story office space. The design highlights the uniqueness of the triangular site with a trapezoid shape, featuring a glowing facade made of translucent fiberglass and precast concrete. This combination creates a visually striking presence both day and night.

The Craft Estate in Nonthaburi, is a distinctive triangular structure located near the across-river bridge, forming a river-view co-leisure area with a craft beer, coffee, bar, and restaurant community.

The 1,270 m² site, situated between the bridge and a public park, inspired the unique triangular design of the restaurant. The trapezoid plan maximizes the buildable area, with the structure’s height ranging from 12-17 meters, and the building’s prominent point oriented towards the Chaophraya River. The building’s 1,400 m² functional space is divided into two main areas, with the facade reflecting this separation: one side is dedicated to restaurant space, and the other to office space.

The restaurant occupies the pointed end of the building, with four stories accommodating a coffee stand, craft beer bar, semi-outdoor and indoor dining areas, and a stepped rooftop for social gatherings. The office space spans three stories on the opposite side, providing areas for work, meetings, and management offices. The building’s facade is defined by using two primary exterior materials: white translucent fiberglass and precast concrete.

The white translucent fiberglass tiles on the roof allow diffused natural light to permeate the interior, creating a blurred visual effect. At night, the exterior facade glows, lighting up its surroundings.
