Luxury Frontiers, a design firm based in San Francisco and Johannesburg, created Camp Sarika as a year-round, all-weather retreat, the first of its kind in North America. The design incorporates natural materials and clean lines that reflect the desert’s rugged beauty, delivering a refined yet immersive experience in the heart of Utah’s majestic mesas.

The camp, named after the Sanskrit word for “open space” and “sky,” is spread over 600 acres of wilderness, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and providing access to National Parks, Monuments, and the Navajo nation Reservation.

The camp’s design integrates seamlessly with the environment, with tented pavilions positioned to frame the natural surroundings, Luxury Frontiers crafted the tents to blend both aesthetic appeal and durability, ensuring they can withstand extreme weather conditions ranging from 20° to 105° F.

Each tent, oriented for unobstructed views of mesas or sunsets, includes private bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, and living and dining areas.

The 10 tents—divided between one- and two-bedroom options—range from 1,900 to over 2,800 square feet. Their interiors feature a natural color palette, clean lines, and furniture that reflects the desert’s textures.

Outdoor areas offer private plunge pools, spacious decks with loungers, and fire pit, all shaded by engineered canvas overhangs, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
