Bar Futebol Clube Pinheiros, designed by Bacco Arquitetos Associados in São Paulo, Brazil, renovates and expands a bar near a football field. The 560 m² project features a two-story design to accommodate limited space. The upper floor aligns with the grandstand for optimal field views, while a tensioned structure shelters the restaurant, preserving surrounding trees.
This project addresses the need for the renovation and expansion of an existing bar adjacent to the football field.
Previously, the site featured a small kiosk among a cluster of trees. Given the limited available space, the proposal’s initial concept involved dividing the new program into two levels. The kitchen spans both floors and is connected through a mountaineering mechanism.
The upper floor aligns with the level of the existing grandstand, offering an extended view of the playing field. Due to the narrow space between several large trees, special consideration was given to the roof design.
The strategy was to elevate the structure while preserving the existing trees, leading to the use of a tensioned structure that provides shade to the entire restaurant volume.
